Love Grows in New Arms
This is one of those poems that says everything in just a few words.
When I wrote First Child, I remembered the feeling of holding my first baby, that overwhelming wave of love that takes your breath away. And then, looking at the person next to you who helped create this little life, you realize love just got even bigger.
There’s something incredibly sacred about that moment. The world disappears. It’s just the three of you, a new kind of family, a new kind of love.

Reflection of My First Child Poem
This poem is for every new parent.
For every mom who held her baby for the first time.
For every dad who felt tears come out of nowhere.
For every couple who looked at each other and realized… nothing would ever be the same, and that was a beautiful thing.
Love doesn’t just grow between two people. Sometimes, love shows up in tiny hands, sleepy eyes, and soft cries.
And it’s in those moments, cradling your child and holding your partner’s hand, that you understand what forever really means.

Structure and Form: Single tercet (3-line stanza), echoing a haiku style (5–7–5 syllables not strictly followed)
