Isabella Poem– Bees and the Wonder of Nature

Updated: Mar 21

Finding Magic in the Smallest Moments

In today’s My Poetry Corner, I’m sharing a gentle little poem about one of my favorite people — my granddaughter, Isabella. She’s a curious, kind-hearted girl who absolutely loves nature. She enjoys fishing, hiking, kayaking, catching fireflies, and of course… watching bees on flowers.

She finds joy in the smallest details — a blooming petal, a floating bug, or a buzzing bee. But like many of us, she’s fascinated and a little nervous at the same time. Watching bees is exciting, as long as they don’t get too close!

This poem captures a quiet moment — Isabella sitting under a tree, watching a bee dance — and reminds us how magical it is to simply pause and enjoy nature.

At Surviving Life Lessons, we celebrate these small moments that bring wonder and reflection into our everyday lives. For more poems, reflections, and gentle reminders of life’s quiet joys, you can also explore our Blog Series Catalog.

Sometimes, it’s the simplest pauses—watching a bee dance or a child’s curiosity—that reconnect us with joy, peace, and wonder.

Reflection on My Isabella Poem

This poem is short, but it holds such a big piece of who Isabella is.

She’s always been drawn to nature. She’s not afraid to explore, and she pays attention to things that most people rush past — like a bee gently hovering over a flower. That’s the kind of child she is — thoughtful, joyful, and always soaking in the world around her.

I think poems like this are powerful because they remind us that beauty doesn’t have to be loud. Sometimes, a single flower and a dancing bee are enough to bring peace.

And as adults, we need these moments too — moments to sit under our own tree, watch, breathe, and remember what really matters.
