Cheetah Poem – Playful Cubs and Wild Beauty

Cheetah cubs wrestling in the tall grass while their mother watches nearby in the wild
Too wild to cuddle, too cute not to love.

Beauty Meant to Be Admired from Afar

As a child, I loved watching shows like NOVA and Wild World of Animals. I was drawn in by the grace and power of big cats, especially cheetahs.

Their speed was amazing. Their strength, mesmerizing. But I always knew, these were creatures best loved from a distance.

Now, as an adult, I feel the same excitement watching documentaries or visiting wildlife centers and zoos. The thrill of seeing cheetahs, especially cubs at play, still makes my heart skip.

That feeling inspired this poem, a reminder that some of the world’s most beautiful creatures aren’t meant to be cuddled. They’re meant to be respected, admired, and protected.

Cheetah

Cheetah kits wrestle and play

Tripping and tackling all day

Sometimes, tug of war, pouncing,

Or tripping to send the other bouncing

In the tall grass, they’ll sneak and hide

Until they run by their mom's side

Reflection on Koala Poem

The wild has its own kind of beauty. And the cheetah, especially in childhood, reminds us of something playful and pure.

They chase, sneak, pounce, and wrestle, not unlike kids on a playground. But they also grow into one of the most powerful predators on Earth.

This poem lets us peek into the playful side of wildlife without losing respect for the danger that comes with it.

It’s a reminder to children and adults alike: it’s okay to love wild things from a safe distance.

Admire them. Learn about them. Help protect them. But don’t try to tame them.

Some beauty is meant to stay wild.
