Path to Peace Poem – Healing and Moving Forward

A quiet, winding path through the trees with sunlight peeking through, symbolizing emotional healing and peace
Winding path symbolizing healing, peace, and renewal

The Journey Back to Peace

I wrote Path to Peace while I was going through my divorce. At that time, I felt overwhelmed, heartbroken, and emotionally drained.

To keep myself from falling apart, I began writing out the things I knew I needed even if I wasn’t ready for them yet. It became a sort of mantra for recovery.

Later, I realized this little list wasn’t just for people going through divorce. It was for anyone feeling stuck in pain, anger, resentment, or loss.

This is the path that helped me get my sanity back one step at a time.

Path to Peace

To prevent insanity’s increase

Follow the path to peace

In the order below

To find peace,

This way to go

Learn to forgive

Learn to forget

Learn to trust

Learn to love

Learn to live

Learn to give

Reflection on You Can’t Heal Without Letting Go

This poem is short but the steps it outlines are anything but simple.

Forgiving someone who hurt you can feel impossible.

Trusting again after heartbreak can feel risky.

Loving again after loss can feel unsafe. But if we want to live fully, we must do the hard work of releasing the pain. And sometimes, that process starts with a small truth on a page.

Each step in this poem builds on the next not just for healing after divorce, but for any part of life where your heart feels bruised.

No matter what you’re going through, you deserve peace. And you can walk your way there one lesson at a time.
