Physical Therapy-Learning to Move
I have had surgery on my feet and now with my medications I have nerothopy. My cancer medications remove estrogen and it causes my muscles and joints to stiffen and cause pain. I am bone on bone in my knees. I NEED TO MOVE. I have asked the doctor to send me to physical therapy. I will be going 2x a week and have exercises at home. This gives me accountability but also they measure what I can and cannot do physically. They will not give me what I cannot physically do. When people don't live in your body, they don't understand the pain of moving or the pain from not moving. Sometimes you weigh which one hurts move. For me, moving hurts more but I watched my mother become a stiff cardboard, wheel chair bound person who had to have help to go to the bathroom. I don't want that. So I figured with the help of physical therapy, I can slowly move and as I gain strength they will increase my exercises.
