When I was diagnosed I had a face group member suggested to get genetic testing. Doctor was hesitant but complied with an attitude. Then when chemo was over I had my genetic results. I studied the meds for each marker. Doctor was going to do nothing. I told them I wanted to do atleast one maintenance drug to stop the cancer from growing. She didn't want to do it but I took my daughter in law who was a pharmacist. So she complied reluctantly. Later moved, had a doctor who left. New doc, ordered wrong test, then rescheduled wrong, when I had a bump like what I had the first time, she said put heat on it. I found a new doctor. Had it come back..fought va and cigna to get a cancer drug based on genetic test . 2 different drugs from 2 cancer genes. I am alive 5…
