A support group for parents estranged from their adult children. Connect with others facing the same heartbreak, share wisdom and encouragement, and walk this difficult path together with empathy and respect. Let's heal one person at a time.

Moving on

Mine left I assume because of money. But no one asked if my giving was affecting me. I sacrificed my time and money for my kids. Self-sacrificing. 2 of my 4 kids have stopped talking.


It's ok. The money I save from them not borrowing, I am putting into this website to help people.


Like everyone on this, It hurt me terribly. It was like a death that you didn't see coming. The sudden not talk, not being told exactly what you did, not being heard. I had gotten divorce and your kids not wanting you was worse then what he did. I knew why he left, he had a mistress. I don't know why they did.


The time and money I spent on them, I now use on me. I do nice things for myself. I still text that I love them periodically or send a card. Don't know…
